Christmas theatre in Madrid 2026: December musicals, flamenco and tickets

Which Madrid shows have December 2026 dates?

Checked on 4 October 2026: the booking calendars list December sessions for Wicked, Los Miserables, El Alma al Aire, WAH and several flamenco venues. Wicked and Los Miserables currently have dates through 20 December; that is not a promise of performances on Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve. Use the date planner on this page to recheck your travel day. The official Los Miserables sales calendar also advertises its current run through 20 December.

Shows we have not confirmed for Christmas

El Rey León remains a separate musical choice, but its booking calendar returned no December dates at this check. We have not presented it as a confirmed Christmas recommendation. Querido Evan Hansen’s announced Madrid run ends on 29 November 2026, so it is not a December recommendation here. Recheck a production’s current calendar before assuming an extension. An on-sale listing can offer dates outside your holiday.

A family Christmas theatre evening on Gran Vía

Choose the musical before planning the rest of the day. Check Spanish comprehension, the child admission minimum, content guidance and running time. For El Alma al Aire at Coliseum, keep the afternoon around the western end of Gran Vía and leave a meal break before the booked session. If you want Wicked, plan around Nuevo Teatro Alcalá instead of treating it as a Gran Vía venue. A familiar story does not guarantee that every age group will enjoy a long evening.

December flamenco with dinner or a shorter show

A show-only flamenco ticket can keep the evening flexible: eat separately and arrive for the performance you have booked. A dinner package fixes more of the schedule, so compare the named menu, drinks, dietary arrangements and show timing. Torres Bermejas and Teatro Flamenco offer different settings and options; do not assume a meal is included in every ticket. Our comparison helps you choose without paying twice for dinner.

WAH at IFEMA: plan the whole festive evening

WAH is a separate entertainment format, not a conventional Gran Vía musical. Reserve transport time to IFEMA and read the selected food and seating option. The description of a food-show experience does not make every drink or dish inclusive. Check the group’s age rules, the session start and the last practical transport option before making it the centre of a celebration.

Christmas lights and dinner around your performance

Keep any festive walk flexible until Madrid publishes the current lights programme. We do not attach unconfirmed switch-on dates or opening hours to a theatre ticket. In central Madrid, leave extra space for crowds between dinner and the entrance. Book one paid anchor for the evening, keep the walking route short, and allow an unhurried return after the show. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve need their own calendar and transport checks.

How to compare December ticket prices

Compare the same date, time, seat category and group size. A low headline price for another weekday is not your holiday total. Check visibility restrictions, fees, delivery and cancellation terms before paying. Eligible tickadoo+ first bookings receive 5% off automatically at checkout; review the applicable terms and final amount. Never assume the producer’s direct-sale change benefits apply to an affiliate booking.
